Eligible DC Students Can Receive Up to $10,000 for College

DC OneApp deadline is June 30, 2009

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will award up to $10,000, per year, to qualified students to attend eligible public universities and colleges nationwide. The DC OneApp is the District’s online application for funding to apply for the District’s higher education grants–DCTAG, DCLEAP and DC Adoption Scholarship. The deadline to appy and turn in all supporting documentation is June 30, 2009.

Counselors will be available to accept and receipt the required supporting documents for DC OneApp during the following Intake Sessions:

Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26, 2009

8:30 am-5 pm

Saturday, June 27, 2009

10 am-3 pm

Sunday, June 28, 2009

10 am-2 pm

Monday, June 29, 2009 and Tuesday, June 30, 2009

8:30 am-5 pm

Location: 51 N Street, NE, Lower Level, Washington, DC 20002

Nearest Metro: Red Line to New York Avenue/Florida Avenue/Gallaudet University

Counselors will be unable to provide the following services during Intake Sessions:

  • Financial aid counseling
  • Computer access for completion of the DC OneApp online application and/or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Student Aid Report (SAR) printing from our office
  • Copying of required supporting documents by our office
